Erie County, in Western New York, is situated on the State's Western border and is home to the Erie County Federation of Snowmobile Clubs. The County lies along the Niagara River and the shores of Lake Erie, on the border between the United States and Ontario, Canada. The terrain varies flatlands in the North to rolling hills and valleys in the South, neighboring Cattaraugus County.
It has had a long run as the district with the largest number of “registered” snowmobiles in the state. Our terrain varies from flatlands in the North to rolling hills and valleys in the South, neighboring Cattaraugus County. We even have a 17-mile trail that runs around an island, never connecting to the State’s main corridors. With over 400 total miles of funded trail and dozens of club trails, the Federation’s 10 snowmobile clubs provide an abundant opportunity for snowmobiling.
